(7/1) an average summer night around here, go braves! (still a royal at heart, but it's nice to cheer for a team with a winning record)
(7/2) two of my favorite guys working on the garage
one door in, one more to go!
(7/3) it took two days to get everything set up correctly thanks to our old rotten wood
(7/4) BBQ at the Mac's, our nephew Chris is not into my project. it was weird to not be on a lake for the 4th, and the fireworks got rained out, but still good to be with the fam!
(7/5) organizing a billion old pictures...mostly drill team and YL pics from high school, great memories to look through
(7/6) bananas past their prime = banana nut bread. still counts as fruit, right?
(7/7) painting the nasty old yellowish trim using the bower method. no tape necessary thanks to my awesome short handled paintbrush. if you saw my fb last week you saw that hunter took a nap against the wet paint. he still has a little on his fur but once the paint dried on the trim, his fur rubbed right off.
(7/8) still working on the perfect homemade pizza crust, this one had problems
(7/9) my girl with a HUGE stick (probably 5 feet long), her dream come true
(7/10) best buddies? i love penny's paws in this one, and of course the look on hunter's face
(7/11) penny checking out the basil
i'm gearing up for middle school camp next week!! while it can't be compared to young life camp (what can?!), they do a great job with FUN and teaching kids about what it means to follow Christ. we have Bible study in place of "cabin time" and the groups are co-ed, which is a great idea since they're in middle school and focus so easily...actually last year it was great because my group was really open and willing to really share with each other. the year before? it would have been better if i just let the boys play basketball, they were just trying their hardest to not take anything seriously and were a huge distraction for the girls in my group. so if you're the praying type, i would love your prayers that my group can get over the distractions that come with being co-ed middle schoolers (seriously worst idea ever) and that their walls will come down and they will realize just how loved they really are. a bunch of the girls in my small group are going, i can't wait to spend the week with them!!
but before we go to camp, we'll be spending thursday watching ALL the harry potter movies before we hit up the midnight premiere! can't wait to see the last movie, but can't believe it will be over! there will be tears.
